NOTICE:
DELTA DENTAL X-RAYS:
September 5, 2008 Dear Members: Due to untimely updates from your current Human Resources Department concerning the ongoing Delta Dental issues, the Shop Committee is posting this notice regarding the list of Dentists that preform 7-8 bite-wing x-rays. In our investigation we have discovered that as well as Dr. Jason Grebner and Dr. Donn Cutler, the entire dentist staff at Aberdeen Dental Associates have been using the 7-8 bite-wing x-rays vs. the 3-4 bite-wing x-rays. There may also be more dentists in the area and surrounding area that may be doing this as well. We will update you with the names and/or offices of those dentists if and when they arise. The problem is that our members claims are being denied and/or considered as a full mouth x-ray. Please pay attention to your E.O.B.’s. You may have already or will fall into the category of a denied claim. As per your current dental coverage, bite-wing x-rays are covered every six (6) months and full mouth x-rays are covered every three (3) years. According to the American Dental Association 7-8 bite-wing x-rays do not constitute a full mouth x-ray series. Any members that have had this problem in the past or present, and are having problems with Delta Dental Paying for the x-rays, please fell free to contact any one of the Shop Committee members, We would be glad to help you resolve your issues. Sincerely, Local 862 Shop Committee.

Re: Allied Web Site Sign Up
Dear members,
For all of the Members that don’t have an e-mail address and want to use the KIOSK to access your Allied account information. Jody and Shannon have completed testing the web site so that you can now register on-line and Access your information. For you people who are skeptical and unsure of this site, you can still use the telephone number on the back of your Allied card to check on your claims or the Human Resource Dept. if you’re having problems. We have found the Allied site to be very useful in the respect of instantly seeing what claims have been processed and there status, and not to mention checking where you are with your deductable and out-of-pocket.
Sincerely, Local 862 Shop Committee
